YA Review - The Unfortunate Decisions of Dahlia Moss

Hey y'all,

Today I'm reviewing The Unfortunate Decisions of Dahlia Moss by Max Wirestone.

Summary from GoodReads: For anyone who has ever geeked out about something and for fans of The Guild, New Girl, Scott Pilgrim, Big Bang Theory, Veronica Mars.

Meet Dahlia Moss, the reigning queen of unfortunate decision-making in the St. Louis area. She is unemployed, broke, and on her last bowl of ramen. But that's all about to change.

Before Dahlia can make her life any messier on her own she's offered a job. A job that she's woefully under-qualified for. A job that will lead her to a murder, an MMORPG, and possibly a fella (or two?).

Review after the jump!

Review: After a series of so-so cozy mysteries, this sharply written YA novel has restored my faith in books. Not that it ever deserted me, it was just a bit dented. Like my car. Anyway. This book will make you laugh out loud. Not in the way that everyone types ‘lol’ online while they look like this: (-_-). No, it will make you LOL until you cry and look like this: (T_T). Verdict: Highly recommend, especially for the young adult fans of Rainbow Rowell.

Stars: 5/5
